AIG- American Ignorance Guise

Barack should think before he speaks...or at least wait for the teleprompter before he speaks....

The RNC knocks Obama for misstating AIG's name. Obama called it the "American Insurance Group," when the proper name is the "American International Group."

"How can Barack Obama claim to know economic fundamentals when he doesn't even know what AIG is? This is the sort of economic naivete that Americans cannot afford in a commander-in-chief," said RNC Press Secretary Alex Conant.

We hate to say it- but right now, Obama looks pretty good- Sarah Palin is ruining the entire Republican campaign.
If you beg to differ, let us know.....but for today- after her hideous interview....NObama is changing to MAYBEbama......

Really?

It seems that a person with a health care reform agenda should be able to speak about health care- scripted or not. Seriously? Can't even wing it for a second?
Not very graceful, either.

Money...what money?

Obama and his taking of money from oil companies. Factcheck.org calls this statement "too slick":
"I don’t take money from oil companies."

Their conclusion:
Technically, that's true, since a law that has been on the books for more than a century prohibits corporations from giving money directly to any federal candidate. But that doesn’t distinguish Obama from his rivals in the race.
The statement is misleading:
Obama has accepted more than $213,000 from individuals who work for companies in the oil and gas industry and their spouses.
Two of Obama's bundlers are top executives at oil companies and are listed on his Web site as raising between $50,000 and $100,000 for the presidential hopeful.

so.....

You think 'Ole Obama can finagle something to where my student loans will be paid off? I mean they are only a fraction of the raise he was able to get for his wife....it seems that with as much power and influence he will have if elected, he would do something like that for me- yes- I will send him a message today requesting that either my loans are paid in full, or that I need a huge raise at my job- I will be happy with either solution. I will keep you posted...

The Working Class

Is anyone else out there wondering about Michelle Obama's $200,000 raise, which came swiftly on the heels of her husband's voting for money for Michelle's employer. I want a job like that. Where I am a salaried employ and instead of say, a 10% raise, I receive a raise to three times my original salary. Sign me up!!!! Seriously, what is wrong with this picture???
